Job Brief
We are looking for a Maintenance Shop Coordinator to support the daily operations of our maintenance shop. In this role, you will coordinate work orders, manage inventory, maintain accurate records, and assist with scheduling repairs and ordering parts. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities

Work Order Management: Initiate and track maintenance jobs. Think of a work order like a restaurant ticket that tells the "kitchen" (mechanics) exactly what needs fixing on a machine.

Inventory Control: Monitor supplies and order parts. You will sign in new parts, track what gets used, and prevent shortages.

Safety & Compliance: Ensure the shop floor meets all safety rules. This means checking that equipment is up to date and reporting any hazards.

Vendor & Customer Relations: Order materials from suppliers and update clients on when their equipment or repairs will be ready.

Administrative Duties: Process invoices, update GPS/fuel data, and maintain accurate shop records.

Job Type: Permanent Full-time, 44 hours per week, adjustment pending on business need

Compensation: $50,000 - $55,000 per year

Qualifications

Organization & Multitasking: The ability to handle multiple repair requests or inventory deliveries at once.

Computer Skills: Proficiency with inventory tracking software and Microsoft Office (like Excel).

Technical Knowledge: A basic understanding of mechanics, heavy machinery, or retail point-of-sale systems.

Communication: Clear communication is vital for assigning tasks to staff and answering questions from management.
