Job Title: Advisor
Position Summary
The Advisor supports players, volunteers, and staff to ensure smooth bingo and gaming operations. This role provides guidance, clarifies rules, assists with disputes, and helps maintain compliance with all AGLC gaming regulations. The Advisor acts as a knowledgeable, professional, and discreet resource on the floor, promoting a positive, fair, and enjoyable experience for all players , volunteers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist players by explaining game rules, promotions, and procedures
- Provide guidance, direction, and supervision to volunteers and staff during events
- Deliver strong customer service by responding to player questions and resolving concerns professionally
- Address and de‑escalate player or colleague issues with fairness, discretion, and sound judgment
- Monitor floor activity to ensure compliance with AGLC gaming policies and responsible play
- Verify tickets, payouts, and game‑related transactions as required
- Serve as a communication link between players, floor staff, and management
- Document and report issues, disputes, or irregularities to management promptly and accurately
- Support event setup, operations, and closing duties as needed
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to explain rules and procedures clearly and confidently
- Demonstrated customer service experience; gaming experience an asset
- Proven ability to handle player and colleague concerns with professionalism and discretion
- Ability to supervise and support volunteers and staff during busy events
- Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities
- Professional, approachable, and fair‑minded demeanor
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Knowledge of bingo and lottery regulations preferred (training provided)
- Clear Police Information Check (PIC) required
- Able to work independently in a busy environment
Working Conditions
- Afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Role involves walking and standing for extended periods in a busy, loud environment
- Frequent interaction with players, volunteers, and staff
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
