We are currently looking for experienced CNC Machinists to join our team on the night shift. This position would run Monday to Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.

Total Compensation: CAD $25.00 - $40.00 hourly. Placement within range based on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary
The CNC Machinist is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts that meet quality and production standards. This role requires strong proficiency in CAD/CAM ideally in Fusion 360 and GibbsCAM. The position supports efficient production, consistent quality, and safe shop operations.
Position Objectives
1. Program, set-up, and run CNC Machines independently
2. Produce parts accurately and efficiently to meet production schedules
3. Maintain quality standards minimizing scrap or rework
4. Support continuous improvement in machining processes
5. Contribute to safe, organized, and productive shop environment
Key Responsibilities
1. Programming & Setup
- Program CNC machines using Fusion360 as the primary software
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Select tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies appropriate for the job
- Set up machines for new and repeat jobs ,
- Verify program accuracy through simulation, test runs, and first-off inspections
2. Machine Operations
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed
- Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programs, or machine operations
- Maintain production efficiency while ensuring product quality
3. Quality & Inspection
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.)
- Ensure parts meet drawing specifications and quality standards
- Identify and report non-conformances or process issues promptly
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
4. Continuous Improvement & Maintenance
- Suggest improvements to machining processes, tooling, and workflows
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety standards
- Perform routine machine maintenance and report equipment concerns
- Support team members and collaborate across departments
Authority
1. Adjust machine settings and tooling to maintain quality and efficiency
2. Stop production when quality or safety concerns arise
3. Recommend process or tooling improvements
4. Escalate equipment or production issues to supervision

Experience & Key Skills
1. Proven experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines
2. Strong proficiency in Fusion360 (primary programming software)
3. Demonstrated experience operating and programming CNC machines using HAAS and/or Fanuc controls
4. Working knowledge of GibbsCam
5. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
6. Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
7. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
8. High attention to detail and quality standards
9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Education/Training
- Schooling in Machining, Manufacturing, or related field preferred.
- Red Seal considered an asset
- Equivalent hands-on experience will be prioritized
