Cloverdale Paint is seeking an ambitious individual for a part-time position with open availability at our store in Vancouver, BC.
Weekend availability is a requirement for this role.
Cloverdale Paint is especially interested in connecting with students currently enrolled in Interior Design, Design Foundations, Colour Theory, Architecture, or a related program. This opportunity is well-suited for someone with an interest in colour, design trends, customer experience, and helping homeowners, painters, and design professionals bring their projects to life.
In this role, students may have the opportunity to learn about and support tools and resources such as the Cloverdale Paint Colour Visualizer, curated colour palettes, custom colour matching and design-focused collections, including The Comfort Edit and Narrative Palette. This is a great opportunity for students who are looking to apply their design knowledge in a practical, customer-facing environment while gaining exposure to the paint and coatings industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answering basic customer inquiries in person and by phone
- Determining and recommending products to customers ensuring the customer is supplied with all items required for their project
- Tinting & shaking paint
- Be able to key in sales and operate basic functions of the POS system
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1-year of Retail Sales and/or Paint Industry experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 lb regularly
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Team player
- Strong work ethic, with a can-do attitude
Physical Demands of Position
The essential function of this position involves physical duties, including the regular lifting, carrying, and moving of paint containers and related products weighing up to 70 pounds individually or with appropriate lifting equipment when required.
