A BabyStrong Coach is a mentor and educator who supports babies and their caregivers through the critical early years of development. Our coaches lead engaging, research-based classes that focus on physical, cognitive, sensory, and social-emotional milestones for babies and toddlers. Through guided activities, movement, play, and parent education, BabyStrong Coaches help families build confidence while supporting each child's developmental journey. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about early childhood development, infant and toddler milestones, and creating meaningful connections with families.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead BabyStrong classes using KidStrong's curriculum focused on developmental
milestones, sensory exploration, movement, and caregiver education.
● Complete BabyStrong Coach Training and Evaluation with the General Manager.
● Understand the "why" behind the BabyStrong curriculum and confidently communicate
developmental concepts to parents and caregivers.
● Coach classes for babies and toddlers from birth to approximately 2 years old alongside
their caregivers.
● Create positive, supportive interactions with families before, during, and after class.
● Maintain a fun, energetic, nurturing, and professional coaching presence.
● Demonstrate and guide age-appropriate activities that support motor, cognitive,
language, and social-emotional development.
● Assist caregivers with proper techniques for tummy time, movement activities, sensory
play, and milestone development.
● Use the KidStrong Coaches App to record attendance and other class-related
information.
● Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and management.
● Ensure classes start and end on schedule while maintaining the appropriate pace and
flow of curriculum.
● Complete ongoing training through KidStrong University as required.
● Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required by
management.
● Help foster a welcoming and inclusive community for all participating families.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
● Availability during weekday mornings and weekends is required.
● Coaches must be available for a minimum of 6 hours per week.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
● Passion for working with babies, toddlers, and families.
● Experience in early childhood education, child development, pediatric therapy, infant
fitness, recreation, nursing, teaching, or a related field is preferred.
● Comfortable speaking with parents and caregivers about child development and
milestones.
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Positive, engaging, and professional demeanor.
● Confident leading groups and facilitating parent participation.
● Commitment to maintaining a consistent schedule.
● Ability to work in an active environment, including standing for extended periods and
lifting or repositioning equipment up to 25 lbs.
● CPR certification and a Vulnerable Sector Check are required and must be completed by
the candidate prior to start date.
● Knowledge of infant and toddler development is considered a strong asset.
