Description :
Under the authority of the head of clinical pharmacy department and in collaboration with a team Interdisciplinary, the pharmacist performs the analysis, keeps up to date the pharmacological files ofthe users and validates the pharmaceutical prescriptions. It applies the model of care
pharmaceuticals, ensures the necessary follow-up and promotes the optimal and appropriate use of drugs. It ensures the distribution of medicines, participates in rotation to the care system and on weekends in collaboration with other members of the department.

The titular pharmacist participates in pharmaceutical services and care for acute care clients, particularly in the following clinical sectors: medicine, intensive care, surgery, psychiatry and palliative care. The pharmacist also participates in the clinical activities of ambulatory services such as emergency, oncology, dialysis, anticoagulation and the pre-admission clinic.

In addition to participating in the activities described above, the pharmacist also participates in the development of protocols / procedures and treatment guides, to various committees, as well as to teaching activities.

  • May be required to work at other CIUSSS ODIM facilities.
Requirements :
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a PhD in Pharmacy;
  • Masters degree in hospital pharmacy or master's degree in advanced pharmacotherapy (practical Health facility) or critical care experience (Emergency or Intensive Care) or relevant oncology;
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des pharmacistes du Québec;
  • Hold (or commit to) and maintain the title of Clinical Associate at the Université de Montréal;
  • Have successfully (or commit to succeed) regulatory training for the application of new Activities under the Act 41;
  • Bilingual.
