Foremost has an immediate opening for Yard/Dressers Workers located at our north facility in Lloydminster, AB.
Responsibilities
- Dress grain bins, ULCs, tanks, pressure vessels, and similar products as required.
- Perform minor pipe-fitting tasks as required.
- Follow all workplace safety policies, standards, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Stock parts and pick parts for jobs as required.
- Support inventory control through accurate documentation and reporting of discrepancies.
- Operate overhead cranes and other material-handling equipment safely.
- Load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, and lifting devices.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support shop and yard operations.
- Assist workers with general shop tasks and material handling.
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
- Notify management of deficiencies, damage, or items requiring repair.
- Perform basic routine maintenance on tools and equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area.
- Perform shop clean-up and general housekeeping.
- Collect and remove trash and recyclable materials.
- Clean and stock restrooms.
- Perform yard-related housekeeping tasks as required (e.g., mowing, trimming/whipper snipping, yard clean-up).
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Physically able to perform duties that may include repetitive lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, walking, bending, and other manual tasks.
- Safety training is an asset; training will be provided as required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing and material handling is an asset.
- Experience operating overhead cranes or willingness to be trained.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safe handling of cleaning products.
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract is preferred.
- Experience with fall protection and elevated platforms is an asset (training can be provided).
- Comfortable working at heights and with lifting devices (overhead crane, man lift, etc.).
Work Environment
- Work is performed in shop, yard, and/or office environments, depending on the position.
- Exposure may include noise, dust, odors, fumes, oils, and varying temperatures.
- Some tasks may require working at heights or outdoors in changing weather conditions.
- Shift work may be required, based on operational needs.
