Algonquin Bridge is looking for an experienced Operations/Welding Supervisor to lead our afternoon/night shift fabrication team at our Thorndale facility.

What You'll Be Doing
As Welding Supervisor, you'll be responsible for leading a team of welders and shop employees while ensuring production, quality, and safety targets are achieved.
You'll:
- Lead, coach, and support welders and fabrication staff
- Schedule work and keep production flowing efficiently
- Review drawings, weld symbols, work orders, and welding requirements
- Ensure compliance with CWB requirements, WPS, and CSA standards
- Support weld quality, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop employee skills through training and coaching
- Promote a strong safety culture and excellent housekeeping standards
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Operations, HR, and union representatives
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of welding or structural steel fabrication experience
- 3+ years of supervisory, lead-hand, or team leadership experience
- CWB Welding Supervisor certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of FCAW, GMAW, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset
