Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
QCareKWC is recruiting RPNs to provide support to patients within the community (facilities, clinics, private homes). Part-time and full-time employment opportunities are available with this position.

Registered Practical Nurse Role:
•
Administration of vaccinations
•
Completing client intake visits and any follow up visits as needed
•
Conduct assessments and implement a plan of care
•
Assisting to manage and forecast PPE needs for field staff
•
Assisting in skills training as needed
•
Provide direct skilled nursing care and monitoring of patients
•
Conduct direct communication with patients and/or clients, families, and other team members to provide optimal health care
•
Develop thoroughly written reports, reporting to the Director of Nursing and Operations Team coordinators
•
Medication oversight and administration
•
Practice within the scope of practice set out by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
•
Travel within a defined territory to service clients in the community
Registered Practical Nurse Role Requirements:
•
Graduate of an accredited Registered/Licensed Practical Nurse program
•
Current registration with the CNO, candidate must be in good standing
•
Tracheostomy and ventilation care experience is considered an asset
•
Experience in community nursing is considered an asset
•
Valid work/study permit (if applicable)
•
Current CPR/First Aid Certification
•
Complete immunization record (MMR, TDAP, Varicella, Hep B)
•
Clean Vulnerable Sector Screen (within 3 months of hire)
•
Strong documentation skills
•
Strong clinical skills
•
Ability to work with little supervision
•
High level of interpersonal skills
•
Access to a vehicle is considered an asset
