LN Land Development Technologies is looking for a motivated Survey Assistant to join our Edmonton team .
This is a great opportunity for someone with field experience who wants to continue developing their skills, gain hands-on experience with survey technology, and build a long-term career in the survey industry.
Working alongside experienced Surveyors and reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll support a variety of construction and survey projects throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Assist Surveyors with day-to-day field surveying activities
Support construction layout, staking, topographic surveys, and as-built surveys
Set up and operate GPS/GNSS, total stations, and other survey equipment under the direction of a Surveyor
Collect accurate field measurements and survey data
Set stakes, hubs, markers, and survey points as required
Maintain accurate field notes and records
Load, unload, carry, and maintain survey equipment and supplies
Communicate effectively with Surveyors, field crews, supervisors, and project personnel
Work safely around active construction sites, equipment, and changing field conditions
Follow all company, client, and site-specific safety requirements
Support the survey team with additional field duties as required
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous surveying, construction, civil, or related field experience is preferred
Interest in building a long-term career in surveying and geomatics
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate work
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
Comfortable using technology and learning survey equipment
Ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain
Physically able to carry survey equipment and perform field-based work
Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
Reliable transportation
Ability to work overtime and extended hours when required
Ability to successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing , as required for the position and/or client sites
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis
ASSETS
Previous experience as a Survey Assistant, Rodperson, or similar field position
Experience with Trimble GPS/GNSS or total station equipment
Previous construction, civil, earthworks, or industrial project experience
Education or coursework in Geomatics, Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field
Current construction or industry safety certifications

This is a field-based position that requires working outdoors in varying weather conditions and active construction environments. Travel to project sites throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas may be required.
