Junior/Intermediate Interior Designer – Retail Studio
The Role
CORE is seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Interior Designer with 1-5 years of Retail experience. This position is in our rapidly expanding Retail Implementation Studio. This is a full-time, in-person, position with a focus on fast paced, technical heavy retail roll-outs.
Role Requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Proficient in REVIT
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent graphic presentation skills
- Working knowledge of Sketch-Up, Enscape, 3D Studio Max & Adobe Creative Suite.
- Fluency in French would be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting with the production and execution of projects for SD, DD, CD and CA Phase
- Basic understanding of code and design concepts, able to reference applicable codes and references for implementation
- Basic understanding of CA Phase, tracking and submittals
- Ability to produce and execute drawing graphic standards with limited supervision
- Ability to develop innovative and functional design solutions and processes for improved design and quality
- Participate in the creation of the Concept Design, Schematic Design, and Design Development packages, proposals, bidding and tender packages, construction documents, and working budgets
- Ensure projects are on track to meet project requirements, deadlines, and budgets
- Assist in the development of material and finish specifications
- Participate in the preparation of the specifications and assist with the coordination of the FF&E, interior architecture plans, finishes, and products with the client
- Contribute to the review of the design development packages, construction documents, and drawing packages for accuracy, design integrity, and brand compliance
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and staff
