We are looking for a Costing & Sourcing Coordinator to join a ladies’ apparel company in Montreal!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily communication with overseas suppliers;
- Monitor with the design team for approval of fillings and dips in the laboratory;
- Ensure the follow-up of fabric evolution and maintain the fabric register;
- Obtain and confirm FOB prices
- Manage gross prices and strategy worldwide
- Transmit purchase orders to suppliers and ensure receipt;
- Monitor progress of incoming parcels and samples;
- Support and improve costing tools and procurement strategy.
- Monitor the schedule to ensure that prototypes, samples and finished products are delivered on time.
Requirement:
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the fashion/ apparel industry, and a strong background in overseas sourcing, manufacturing, costing and quality control;
- Knowledge of fabrics, and garment construction;
- Knowledge of product development and production;
- Solid understanding of global sourcing trends and strong negotiation skills;
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
