Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Occupational Health and Safety, the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of established occupational health programs, protocols and services; including immunization programs, assessing submitted employee medical documentation, communicable disease surveillance program compliance and other related functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.


  • Graduate of a recognized program for Registered Nurses or Registered Practical Nurses.
  • Holds a current general certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS.
  • Diploma/Certificate from a recognized college in Occupational Health Nursing, or in progress is an asset.
  • COHN (C) certificate is preferred.
  • Minimum one year experience as a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse, preferable within an acute care environment.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and shift priorities as the need arises.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and conflict management skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Computer literacy in a Windows environment, utilizing Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level.
  • Experience with Parklane software is preferred.
  • Proven attendance record.

  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
