- Receives product from all sources and verifies against shipping manifests;
- Moves product to proper locations within warehouse or transfers to other locations as appropriate;
- Records product receipt and location properly within the inventory system;
- Practices effective transportation techniques to ensure possibility for product damage is minimized;
- Performs and records damage inspections for all incoming and outgoing freight;
- Loads and unloads freight in a safe and timely manner;
- Assembles product and moves to showroom for replenishment of new stock;
- Unpackages all products in preparation for delivery;
- Organizes and prepares all sold product, including rewrapping and padding, to protect from damage and prepare for transportation;
- Organizes warehouse stock appropriately, records movement, and stores like products together;
- Provides security for the warehouse, store, and delivery truck;
- Assists in modification of racking;
- Conducts cycle counts and inventory counts as required;
- Acts in a polite and courteous manner at all times when dealing with customers obtaining product at the warehouse; and
- Ensures that the warehouse, including the prep area, is clean and tidy and safe from potential accidents throughout the day and at the end of each shift.
