Certified Arena Operator - Permanent Full-Time
The certified Arena Operator (Operator) is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of the TransAlta Tri Leisure Centre (TLC) facility, including indoor and outdoor ice surfaces, in addition to light maintenance duties. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a high-quality environment for patrons, staff, and user groups by ensuring facilities are well-maintained, clean, safe, and operational.
Working collaboratively across departments, the Operator supports day-to-day arena maintenance, operations, responds to facility needs, and contributes to a positive customer experience through proactive customer service, operational excellence, and a strong customer service focus.
Applicants must provide evidence of current Intermediate First Aid certification taken within the last two (2) years, valid Drivers License, and provide a clear criminal sector check prior to commencement of employment. A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of maintenance/arena operator related experience in a Community Services or Recreation Facility is preferred. Arena Operator I via AARFP is required. Courses in trades such as Building Maintenance I and II, or certifications in electrical and/or plumbing are assets. Experience with operating a skid steer is also an asset. Ability to use the microsoft office suite of products is needed, in addition to experience with maintenance management and recreation software.
Wage Range: $28.74 to $35.27/hour
