Overview
Brixton Metals Corporation is a publicly traded (TSXV: BBB) (OCTQB: BBBXF), Canadian mineral exploration company focused on the advancement of its copper-gold-silver exploration projects. Brixton Metals has an immediate opening for a Core Logger at its Langis-HudBay Project (silver-nickel) located at Cobalt/Haileybury, Ontario.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- All aspects of core logging (including mineralization, alteration lithology) procedures, moving core boxes, analyzing and interpreting drill core, collecting photographs and following sampling protocols;
- Preparing sample submissions to assay laboratories following established QAQC procedures;
- Preparing quick logs of core;
- Participating in daily geologist team meetings to discuss properties of the drill core;
- Downloading and integrating logging data into database;
- Experienced core loggers may assist with training and mentoring others, as required;
- Additional work in and around the work site as required; and
- Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health, safety, community and environmental protection in keeping with Brixton Metals’ goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Legally entitled to work in Canada at the time of application.
- Minimum B. Sc. Degree in Geological Sciences or equivalent.
- Relevant work experience in a similar role.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Structurally controlled precious metals logging experience is preferred.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Cooperative team player.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Reporting to various field work locations (Cobalt, Ontario & surrounding areas).
- Must be able to lift/move up to 50lbs throughout a work shift.
- Ability to work in areas of extreme and difficult weather conditions.
- Personal outdoor work gear is required (i.e. warm clothing, steel-toed boots, rain gear, gloves/mittens, etc.) and is not provided by the Company. PPE (i.e. safety glasses, respirators and high-vis) is provided by the Company.
- Rotational schedule, approximately 2-weeks on/2-weeks off (with the possibility of longer rotations).
