About the Position
We are looking for an experienced and passionate General Manager who believes in offering guests exceptional experiences through offering high quality local products and exceptional live music. As the General Manager, you will work directly with the Executive Chef, Secretary Treasurer and Board of Directors on a variety of responsibilities and duties such as overall strategic direction of the business, brand growth, menu evolution, financial responsibility for restaurant including costing, marketing strategies, business development, as well as continuing our tradition of offering the highest levels of hospitality and guest experience in a national award-winning live music venue.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Customer Experience Leadership: Crafting and executing strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty, ensuring exceptional service, and maintaining high standards of hospitality;
· Financial Strategy: Developing and implementing financial plans, managing budgets, optimizing costs, and ensuring profitability targets are met;
· Talent Management: Leading recruitment, training, and development strategies to build a high-performing team aligned with the King Eddy's goals;
· Operational Excellence: Streamlining operations to improve efficiency, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations;
· Marketing and Business Development: Creating and executing innovative marketing strategies to attract and retain customers, drive revenue, and expand market presence;
· Visionary Leadership: Setting the strategic direction of the King Eddy, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation;
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of experience as a General Manager or similar role;
· Minimum 10 years of experience in customer service/hospitality;
· Formal business education or a restaurant management degree is an asset;
· Extensive food and wine knowledge;
· Computer literacy;
· Familiarity with restaurant management software and Point of Sales systems (familiarity with Square Restaurant is an asset);
· Build relationships within the community and community organizations to promote brand awareness and partnerships and bring in new guests;
· Business development strategy focused on private events and catering;
· Lead our sales and event coordinators in executing our business development strategy;
· Strong leadership, motivational and people skills;
· Strong financial management skills;
· Critical thinker and problem-solving skills;
· Team player;
· Must be able to lift, handle, and carry food, smallwares, equipment, supplies, and inventory at a minimum of 50 pounds;
· Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat on a frequent basis to receive and store stock, supplies and equipment, as well as to work the line during service periods;
· Excellent time management and great interpersonal skills;
· Ability to prioritize and multi-task;
· Highly organized and self-motivated;
· Ability to manage multiple projects independently;
· Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

The General Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the King Eddy’s success, ensuring that all decisions align with the long-term vision and strategic goals of the business.
This is a salaried position that includes benefits, gratuities, tips, parking, 3 weeks vacation and potential financial bonus.
