About the Role
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Administrative Assistant to support our growing business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with QuickBooks and general office administration, with the ability to manage day-to-day bookkeeping, reporting, and administrative tasks.
Responsibilities Bookkeeping
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Payroll support and payroll remittances
- GST filing preparation
- Monthly financial reporting
- Invoice creation and tracking
- Assist accountant with year-end documentation
Administration
- Answer phones and emails
- Manage filing systems and company records
- Schedule meetings and appointments
- Prepare documents, reports, and correspondence
- Support management with general administrative tasks
- Coordinate office supplies and vendor communications
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or QuickBooks Desktop
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll and GST requirements is an asset
Preferred
- Bookkeeping certification or related education
- Experience in a small business environment
- Administrative assistant experience
Pay: $30.00-$45.00 per hour
