NBCC is currently seeking a dynamic and competent leader for the casual position of Community College Instructor. This is a casual position until December 18, 2020.

Reporting to the Program Chair, as a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders, as well as other related duties.
This position will instruct Technical Writing and Research and Employment Strategies across several programs areas, such as Mechanical Engineering Technology, Chemical Technology, and Industrial Control Technology. The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.
Required qualifications for this opportunity include a two-year diploma in a related field with a minimum of five (5) years of recent and related experience; OR a Bachelor's degree in Arts (with a Major in English, Communication Studies, or Creative Writing) or Education (Literacy specialization) and a minimum of three (3) years of recent and related experience. A comprehensive knowledge of MS Office is required. Candidates may be required to work evenings..

Written and spoken competence in English is required.
Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.

NBCC offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes a competitive salary for this position ranging from $2008.00 to $2829.00 bi-weekly. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $3090.00 bi-weekly, based on their level of post-secondary education. This is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Education - Instructional Group) for the College.
