What you’ll do
Utilize your strong project management skills to improve the efficiency of procurement, supply chain and asset management for BCEHS, while effectively reducing operating costs.
Conduct large-scale reviews of practices, processes, procedures and systems, such as inventory management and contract administration, leading to the enhanced integration of services, better service delivery, improved customer satisfaction and the development and evaluation of new programs and processes.
Prioritize BCEHS’ engagement in internal and external projects relating to supply chain and logistics, in consultation with senior leadership.
Be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Provincial Logistics Program, providing direction, guidance and leadership in a 24x7 day-to-day logistics support function.
Be responsible for the selection, training, performance and supervision of staff involved in the delivery of logistics services including supervisory staff, coordinators and Equipment and Supply Technicians in various locations throughout the province.
Direct and/or develop project charters and plans, monitoring timelines and project deliverables to improve BCEHS’ procurement, supply chain and inventory management processes.
Maintain a detailed working knowledge of operating and capital leases with the ability to provide input on decisions surrounding feasibility of lease/buy decisions.
Provide leadership and consultation in the successful design, planning, implementation, integration and evaluation of projects relating to renewal, redesign, restructuring and reconfiguration of processes and services provided by BCEHS.
What you bring
A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
10+ years recent, related experience in procurement, logistics and supply chain including at least two (2) years in a progressive leadership and change management role.
Extensive experience in managing and leading strategic and operational projects, including contract and budget development and oversight.
Strong financial management skills (ability to create, manage, and track budgets).
Strong project management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (preparing briefing notes and in-depth business case studies).
