General Labor and Equipment Operator
RCC is hiring a General Laborer / Equipment Operator to join our crew. Based out of Mt. Forest, Ontario, with most jobs within a one-hour radius, we have lots of exciting public and private work and very unique projects on the go - no two weeks look the same.
This is a true split role: expect plenty of hands-on labor - shoveling, grade checking, pipe work, but also real seat time on modern, well-maintained equipment. The more you show us, the more you operate.
Some construction experience is required. Full-time and some temporary positions available, with year-round work through the winter.
This is an excellent opportunity to get wide exposure to many different types of construction projects - municipal, provincial, and private road work, site prep, and more. RCC is a young but growing company, with lots of room to grow along with it.
What you'll do:
- Operate equipment and support the crew with general labor as needed
- Learn to work with grades, elevations, and slopes
- Read and work from instruction drawings alongside experienced operators
- Work typical construction hours, with some long days in the summer months
Must have:
- Some construction experience
- Eagerness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a crew
- Some ability to read instruction drawings, or a willingness to learn
- A willingness to learn elevation and slope
- Basic understanding of construction methodology
- Good physical condition - able to lift heavy objects and handle demanding outdoor work in all weather
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Nice to have (not required):
- Experience on heavy equipment (excavator, skid steer, dozer, etc.)
- Experience on civil or sitework construction projects
- Concrete flatwork experience

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
