Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and dependable Florist with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a retail or event floral setting. This role requires an eye for unique design, strong knowledge of flower care, and the ability to work efficiently under peak holiday pressures. From processing bulk stems to crafting custom centerpieces and handling customer inquiries, you will ensure our high standards of quality and service are met every day.
Responsibilities
- Design and assemble floral arrangements for events, holidays, and daily retail needs using fresh flowers and greenery
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with their floral selections and offering expert advice
- Manage sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
- Manage merchandising displays to attract customers and promote seasonal or special occasion arrangements
- Maintain the quality and freshness of flowers through proper handling, storage, and inventory management
- Assist with e-commerce orders by preparing arrangements for delivery or pickup, ensuring timely fulfillment
- Engage with customers enhancing accessibility and service quality
- Keep the work area organized, clean, and safe while adhering to health and safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a Florist or in a similar floral design role
- Knowledge of flowers, floral care, and plants
- Familiarity with processing payments, cash handling, and merchandising strategies
- Fluent in English
- Strong communication skills for engaging with customers and team members effectively
- Experience with e-commerce platforms for online floral sales is desirable
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
