You will have the opportunity to be a part of the opening team for Live Nation’s newest Canadian venue, History. A state-of-the-art venue, with a capacity of up to 2,500 and the goal of hosting over 200 concerts and events annually, you will play a big role in truly making this venue a Toronto staple. This role reports directly into HISTORY’s Director of Food and Beverage while managing the full scope of the F&B department. This includes but is not limited to; managing a F&B Team of over 60 staff, creating engaging sales incentives, while learning and operating the Appetize Point of Sales to maximize efficiency and sales. Oversee guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining standard and exceeding various other goals.
Live and breathe HISTORY’s & Live Nation’s hospitality and service standards.
Develop F&B Staff service standards, training program and various checklists and procedures.
Implement sales initiatives supported by training to drive sales and meet daily/weekly/monthly/annual budgets.
Collaborate interdepartmentally to ensure all member and guest experiences are supported by various members of the team and are briefed on expectations to always execute top-notch service.
Support new hire on-boarding and training, setting up new team members for ultimate success.
Collaborate with Kitchen, Bar and lead receiver to ensure product knowledge, quality, consistency and speed of service standards are met.
Ability to maintain partnership agreements and execute to a high degree.
Adhere to provincial regulated Health & Safety guidelines as per the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) as well as Live Nation’s global standards by liaising with internal and external stake holders to promote a clean and safe work environment, using daily checklists.
Performs other duties as required.
Must have 2+ years’ experience in food & beverage operations with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation in a fast paced and demanding environment.
Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills.
Must have supervisory, coaching and staff development experience.
Must have a strong business aptitude.
Must be Smart Serve Certified and at least 19 years of age or older.
Knowledge of various spirits, beers, wines and champagnes. Bonus if you have mixology/cocktail experience.
Experience using point of sales systems; Appetize an asset, but not required.
Have an incredible ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high volume environment while maintaining a first-in-class hospitality and food and beverage experience.
Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to communicate with guests and respond to inquiries.
You’ve found the balance of being respectful and professional whilst being fun and jovial in a work environment.

Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Sits for extended periods of time at a computer station or work desk; stands and walks throughout the day; occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; uses hands and fingers to operate computers and office equipment for up to 8 hours each day; lifts up to 10 pounds regularly; exposed to typical office environment conditions and noise levels.
