Job Summary
Thrive Speech Therapy Centres is building a multidisciplinary team for our grand opening in September 2026. We are seeking passionate, reliable, positive, and energetic Communicative Disorders Assistants (CDAs) / Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (S-LPAs) to join our dynamic healthcare team.
Whether you are looking for a full-time or part-time position, an adult, paediatric, or mixed caseload, we will build a schedule and client base that works for you!
Working under the supervision of a registered Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play an essential role in helping clients achieve their goals through engaging, evidence-based therapy.
In this vital role, you will:
- Implement engaging, individualized speech-language intervention plans
- Support clients in developing speech, language, literacy, social communication, fluency, voice, and cognitive-communication skills, as appropriate
- Accurately collect therapy data and monitor client progress during treatment sessions
- Create and prepare therapy materials and activities tailored to client's goals and interests
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists to ensure high-quality, individualized client care
- Communicate professionally with clients, families, and caregivers
- Participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and collaborative care planning
- Maintain professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards in accordance with Thrive Speech Therapy Centres policies and applicable legislation

Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) diploma program
- Experience working with children and/or adults with communication disorders is considered an asset
- Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently while following the direction of supervising Speech-Language Pathologists
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, Boardmaker, and electronic documentation systems)
- Experience with virtual therapy platforms is considered an asset
- Bilingualism is considered an asset
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last year)
- Professional liability insurance
