D.T Roofing Ltd. is hiring a Shingler / Experienced Roofer to join our roofing crews in Brandon and the Westman area.
We are an established roofing company based in Brandon, Manitoba, serving Brandon and the Westman area. We run multiple crews and are looking for someone with roofing experience who wants steady, year-round work with room to grow.
This position is for someone who can install shingles properly, follow direction, work safely, and keep a good pace through the day. You do not need to know everything, but you do need to be reliable, coachable, and willing to do the job right.
Roofing is hard work. You will be outside, climbing ladders, lifting materials, stripping roofs, installing shingles, and working in different weather conditions. But with the right crew, it can also be one of the best jobs out there.
This position works as part of a shingle crew and reports to the Site Supervisor, Crew Lead, and Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair asphalt shingle roofs
- Remove old or damaged shingles
- Measure, cut, and fit shingles as needed
- Ensure proper alignment, exposure, and secure attachment of shingles
- Install underlay, starter, cap, vents, and flashings as required
- Inspect roof areas for damage, leaks, or problem spots
- Help keep the roof, ground, vehicles, and work areas clean and organized
- Follow company safety rules and job site procedures
- Use hand tools and power tools safely
- Follow direction from the Site Supervisor, Crew Lead, and Project Manager
- Work with the crew to keep jobs moving and finished properly
Qualifications
- Previous roofing or shingling experience preferred
- Knowledge of asphalt shingles and proper installation techniques
- Ability to work at heights
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Able to lift heavy materials and work physically for full days
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions and work well with a crew
- Good problem-solving skills on the roof
- Must be willing to work year-round
- Valid Class 5F Manitoba driver’s licence preferred
