Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans/ activities that align with curriculum standards( familiar with how does learning happen is an asset)
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development
- Being comfortable with implementing small group/circles/crafts/documentation such as bulletin boards, with little direction.
- Able to follow and implement routines with own group of children
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Comfortable working with a team teacher and/or placement students
Qualifications:
- RECE ( registered with the College of ECE )
- VSC police clearance (required)
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting a must- Preschool and Toddler
- CPR certification
- French as a second language is considered an asset
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
-Able to work in varying shifts between the hours of 7:30-5:30( some shifts require the employee to open the center-must be flexible to do so)
