UNIT SUMMARY
The Hamilton Regional Laboratory Medicine Program (HRLMP) is a collaborative program funded and operated jointly by Hamilton Health Sciences and St. Joseph's Hospital. The Program is committed to change and innovation, through education, service and research, to bring the highest quality science into healthcare for the benefit of the community and to participate in the clinical application and interpretation of the science.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently registered with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO)
- 3 years histology experience and IHC experience preferred
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- A practical examination may be part of the interview process
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for performing IHC stains
- Perform quality assurance of IHC
- Develop new antibodies under the direction of the Technical Specialist
- Perform troubleshooting of IHC stains
- Maintain inventory control of IHC reagents
- Other duties as assigned
