Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Field Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of equipment, including Construction and forestry machinery. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with schematics and computer programs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, including but not limited to Excavators, dozers, loaders, drilling, support compact, and other machinery
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and develop appropriate solutions
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Operate heavy machinery as needed
- Assist customers with equipment-related inquiries and provide exceptional customer service
-Handle customer interactions while maintaining respect and professionalism
- Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and recommend preventative maintenance measures
- Weld and fabricate parts as necessary
Experience:
- HD journeymen will be given preference
-3 years minimum working in field setting experience
- Experience working with Construction/fortestry equipment or in a dealership setting is a necessity
- Strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to diagnose and repair equipment issues
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals
- Experience operating heavy machinery such as cranes or forklifts
- Electrical/Hydraulic knowledge
- Experience with service advisor, ET, Insite preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
