Responsibilities
- Sorting and separating ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Assisting with loading and unloading materials.
- Maintaining a clean and organized yard and work area.
- Operating basic hand and power tools safely.
- Assisting equipment operators and drivers as needed.
- Following company safety procedures and policies.
- Inspecting materials and identifying recyclable metals.
- Supporting general yard operations and housekeeping duties.
- Performing other labour-related tasks assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous scrap metal labour, warehouse, recycling, or industrial experience is an asset.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift or heavy equipment experience is considered an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
