Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Customer Service/Cashier to join our team. This role is vital in providing excellent service to our customers while managing transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and experience in food service or retail environments. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cashiering, and customer engagement within a dynamic restaurant setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments with precision and integrity
- Assist with food preparation and food handling tasks as needed, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are maintained
- Upsell menu items or promotions to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the cashier station and dining area in accordance with health regulations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
- Support team members with serving duties when necessary to ensure smooth operations
- Follow all food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures to uphold quality standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or retail environments preferred, especially with cashiering or POS systems such as Micros POS
- Knowledge of food preparation, handling, and safety protocols is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to manage time efficiently during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Pay: $17.20-$29.00 per hour
