PRODUCT MANAGER, PRE-ROLL DEVELOPMENT
We are looking for an experienced candidate to manage and lead the product commercialization for several new product categories for both recreational, medical and international markets. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across the entire organization to bring products from idea generation to commercialization in an accelerated timeframe.
You will be the Subject Matter Expert focused on the Pre-Roll and Flower category and responsible for commercializing new and innovative products. You will be supported by Project Managers to organize the project timelines and deliverables.
Become the Subject Matter Expert of Pre-rolls and point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders
Lead the new product development process from initial business evaluation, consumer research, quality to production, packaging and commercial readiness
Develop and manage relationships with the suppliers, partners and cross functional teams to ensure deliverables are met on time and within scope of product launch
Maintain product and market knowledge. Analyze and keep abreast of market trends to identify new product opportunities
Create products specifications for development and liaise with R&D, operations, QA and Marketing to ensure product is executed against original category strategy
Work closely with consumer insights and strategy to identify consumer needs and ensure opportunities are relevant and scalable for the medical, recreational and international cannabis market
Support in the development of production and manufacturing methods in tandem with engineering, operations and industrial design
Establish and implement effective reporting to keep project stakeholders and senior management informed on key project metrics
Maintain product leadership and evolution by continuous product advancement, improvements and evolution
5+ years’ experience in product development
Experience managing and launching new products from concept to commercialization with exceptional discipline
Passion for consumer insights and ability to translate into a business opportunity
Ability to multitask a varied workload of complex project with competing interests
Creative thinker, with initiative and capability of building, launching and managing projects/programs that drive results
Highly organized problem solver with the ability to analyze and prioritize work to meet business objectives
Collaborative and compelling team player, that easily builds relationships across various stakeholder groups driving initiatives forward
Knowledge of cannabis, the pre-roll market and production methods preferred
