Zenabis Global Inc. is seeking a Director of Supply Chain, to lead all aspects of sales & operations planning, sourcing, logistics, and fulfillment through our next phase of explosive growth. In this role, the Director, Supply Chain is responsible for implementation of pragmatic solutions to meet/exceed customer and business requirements. These solutions include the development and deployment of data driven processes and analytics, which leverage automated workflows and reporting, to help inform the business to make the best decisions in optimizing its resource base to deliver customer value. Reporting directly to the SVP of Operations, you will provide operational leadership and strategic direction for developing, deploying, and monitoring key strategies to support Zenabis’ rapid growth and expansion.

You are comfortable navigating ambiguity, are an adept negotiator, forward-thinking, and have deep knowledge of international supply chain requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Own and manage the entire sales & operations planning process, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure maximum value return from Zenabis’ supply and resource base.
Evaluate and propose new solutions to drive excellence and efficiencies throughout the entire value chain
Develop/enhance supply chain KPIs, reports, and business processes/cadences to ensure continuous improvements, with a focus on leveraging automated workflows and real-time analytics
Implement and maintain best practices in demand forecasting and operations planning, order management, supply and inventory management, sales and operations planning, 3rd party relationships and develop and implement strategic procurement activities in collaboration with operational buyers
Successfully integrates Supply Chain services – align departmental strategies in support of organizational priorities
Develops and orchestrates system wide supply chain optimizations in the areas of revenue growth, cost savings, fulfillment performance, and working capital
Assist in developing client/customer goals, objectives, performance standards and priorities
As a senior leader, work collaboratively with other stakeholders to define and implement strategic initiatives in support of growth objectives; leads collaborative efforts across internal partners to solve complex supply chain issues
Meet with clients regularly to provide ongoing operational support
Maximize new client engagements. Work with client leadership to develop plans to meet current and future needs; Recommends new capacity or other supply projects/sources
Motivate, encourage, and coach in the professional development of staff
In collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Operations, develop inventory, procurement, and customer service strategies to support the commercial needs of the organization
Establish strategic direction and set goals for manufacturing and operations to build capacity and capability for current and new product offerings
Establish strategic direction and set goals for procurement, including international sourcing strategy, speed, cost, and quality
Lead strategic sourcing for components, negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with all suppliers
Identify resource gaps, system requirements and develop short and long-term solutions accordingly
Relentlessly optimize speed; activate tried-and-true as well as cutting-edge tactics for achieving maximum speed and flexibility in product lead times
Maintain and execute a multi-year supply chain roadmap that aligns with company/category growth plans and addresses opportunities for continuous process improvement
Identify, prioritize, structure and solve an array of other complex business problems through the use of analytics and business judgments
Implements supply chain innovations in the areas of collaboration, capable to promise, order fulfillment, and planning optimization
Identify, vet, and onboard new manufacturers and suppliers as necessary
Develop and grow a supplier community that helps meet our business objectives for product development and innovation, speed, and quality
In addition to leading a group of high performing managers and individual contributors at our 3 operating facilities, hire and lead a small team of supply chain analysts and administrators
Bachelor/Master’s degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science or other related fields of graduate study highly desirable
5+ years of combined large and small company experience supporting supply chain planning, sourcing, and manufacturing for pharmaceutical, tobacco, consumer packaged goods or alcohol
Experience leading Sales & Operations Planning processes highly desireable
Experience in pharmaceutical operations/cGMP environment highly desirable
Previous experience in operations, manufacturing, and end-to-end supply chain
An established track record of providing service growth and process transformation
Demonstrated experience successfully creating executive alignment, high degree of political savvy
Experience implementing Value Analysis in medium to large systems
A track record of building and motivating teams of committed, dedicated well-aligned professionals that deliver results; a collaborative approach; proven ability to achieve results through others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience w/ ERP systems and developing business analytics tools/systems
Ability to work with mathematical concepts for the purpose of financial budgeting, reporting and analysis
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
Demonstrated experience with large cost reduction projects, MMIS enhancements and logistics.
Experience in creating world class supply chain architectures and processes including vendor selection, qualification, and contract negotiation
Exposure to or experience working with eCommerce fulfillment 3PLs
Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Security Clearance may be requested for this position.
Salaried Position: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
This position will require after hours or extended hours based on activity.
Zenabis is a significant Canadian licensed cultivator of medical and recreational cannabis, and a propagator and cultivator of floral and vegetable products. Zenabis employs staff coast-to-coast, across facilities in Atholville, New Brunswick; Delta, Aldergrove, Pitt Meadows and Langley, British Columbia; and Stellarton, Nova Scotia. Zenabis currently has 96,400 kg of licensed cannabis cultivation space and four licensed facilities. Zenabis has 3.5 million square feet of total facility space dedicated to a mix of cannabis production and cultivation and its non-cannabis propagation and floral business.
Zenabis expects its Zenabis Atholville, Zenabis Stellarton and Zenabis Langley facilities to be in steady state production in 2020. The Zenabis brand name is used in the cannabis medical market, the Namaste, Blazery, and Re-Up brand names are used in the cannabis adult-use recreational market, and the True Büch brand name is used for Zenabis’ kombucha products.
