Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Prior experience in food service and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. A strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hospitality standards is essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to food safety regulations
- Assist with basic food preparation when needed and maintain cleanliness of service areas
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Address guest inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment consistent with sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred; knowledge of the food industry is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Basic math skills for cashiering and handling transactions accurately
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
