Reporting to the Maintenance Planning & Reliability Superintendent, you will be part of the Planning & Reliability Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Prepare detailed cost estimates for maintenance and capital projects. Monitor actual costs vs. budget and forecast future expenditures.
Analyze cost trends by using predictive modeling based on historical data and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare business cases based on these opportunities and present them to management.
Collaborate with finance, procurement, and project teams, supporting audits and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
Develop cost control dashboards using tools like Power BI and Excel.
Integrate cost data with operational systems (CMMS, Wenco) to support decision-making.
Support capital investment decisions with cost-benefit and lifecycle cost analyses.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Finance, or related field is required.
3-5 years of experience in cost control in maintenance or asset management is required.
A strong understanding of cost accounting and financial planning principles is essential.
PMP and/or CCP, CFA, and FRM certifications are an advantage.
Experience in a mining environment is preferred.
Very strong skills in MS Excel, Outlook, and Project are preferred.
