Job Description

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Application Developer, you will join CIBC’s Financial and Allocations department within Finance and Business Intelligence Technology. The successful candidate will work primarily on supporting FRS application and other applications in Finance Technology department. This role will work with the business and other technology groups in order to effectively provide application development, maintenance and production support.

How You’ll Succeed

Programming Skills- Develop, code and test computer programs for straightforward assignments. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging.
Systems Implementation- Conduct the technical design, development, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems.
Planning and Coordination- Effectively interact with stakeholders, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members.

You can demonstrate experience in Strong programming/development skills and concepts – using TOAD in Oracle database for 1-2 years It’s an asset if you have experience with ETL Development, Unix/Unix Korn Shell development, Procedures/ packages development. It’s an advantage if you have knowledge of Autosys job scheduling tool, Usage of Mercury Quality Center, Financial applications, Data/Process modeling
You have a degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related fields.
