Warehouse Pipe Handling
Shift: 9:30 to 6PM
Job Summary
This position performs a variety of tasks to ensure the efficient and effective management of receiving and shipping activities to meet customer needs. This position is also responsible for ensuring timely delivery of all scheduled orders as required in a safe and efficient manner. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills; planning, organization and multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, as well as, computer skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safely receive, unload, load, and store pipe, valves, fittings, and related products using forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment.
- Pick, stage, package, and prepare customer orders, ensuring accuracy of quantities, lengths, and product specifications using RF scanners and the warehouse management system.
- Handle long-length pipe and bundled materials safely and efficiently to prevent product damage and maintain a safe work environment.
- Complete shipping, receiving, inventory replenishment, and cycle count activities while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage or discrepancies and complete the required documentation.
- Assist customers with counter sales, order pickups, and product identification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and pipe yard environment.
- Communicate with sales staff, customers, and carriers regarding order status and delivery requirements.
- Support efficient warehouse operations by meeting productivity targets and identifying process improvement opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year in PVF warehousing or distribution sector.
- Consistently able to lift 50lbs.
- Previous forklift and pipe yard experience is preferred particularly side loader, combi lift.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to effectively handle multiple conflicting priorities.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet time sensitive orders.
- Good computer skills and able to use RF Scanners.
- Industry experience and/or product knowledge is an asset.
- Attention to detail required.
- Valid forklift license is an asset.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
