Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Coordinator role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, supporting water and sewer main projects from planning through completion. The Project Coordinator will assist in organizing and scheduling field work, tracking project milestones, and maintaining up-to-date documentation, including permits, drawings, reports, and safety records. The role includes coordinating with site supervisors, technicians, clients, and suppliers to ensure materials, equipment, and crews are available as needed and that projects follow regulatory and company standards. The Project Coordinator will support the Senior Project Manager in monitoring project progress, support budgeting and cost tracking, and help prepare status updates and reports for internal and external stakeholders. Day-to-day tasks also involve responding to project-related inquiries, supporting problem-solving on site logistics, and contributing to continuous improvement of processes and workflows.
Qualifications
- Project coordination and planning skills, including scheduling, organizing resources, and tracking milestones for construction or utility projects.
- Strong documentation and administrative skills, with experience managing project files, permits, drawings, reports, and data in digital tools or software.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with field crews, supervisors, clients, vendors, and regulatory contacts.
- Basic understanding of construction, civil infrastructure, or utility work, ideally related to water and sewer mains, with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Proficiency with common office and project tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, project management software) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site in various weather conditions and occasionally visit active work sites in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Relevant education such as a diploma or degree in construction management, civil engineering technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of local regulations, safety standards, and permitting processes for underground utilities is an asset.

e. Material Ordering and check and review materials (includes organizing and checking packing slips)
f. Material submissions for approval and sign off
g. Purchase Orders, including detailed take offs
h. Request for Information (RFIs)
i. Estimating
j. Frequent site visits to monitor and manage Site Supervisors/ General Supervisors
k. Frequent communication with Site Supervisors, General Supervisors and formen on direction and information
l. Manage/Correspond with subcontractors regarding pricing scheduling and invoicing (including change order approvals)
m. Review of contracts prior to signing.
n. General correspondence with other parties such as clients, consultants and inspectors.
o. Help with healthy and safety obligations, including but not limited to daily logs, machine check lists and safety checks.
p. Assist with filing and general office organization
q. Promoting excellent working relationships with all co-workers to maintain an excellent working environment and culture
r. Performing any other relevant duties assigned to you by Sr Project Managers
Qualifications
s. Remove maintenance hole and catchbasin covers for inspections. Inspections typically have 10-30 covers to remove.
t. Support the Senior Project Manager in any other tasks
Pay: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
