Stay at Home Elevating & Renovations is a small but growing general contracting company proudly serving Victoria and surrounding areas. We specialize in everything from full home renovations and accessibility upgrades to custom construction projects and specialized mobility installations.
We’re looking for a dependable, skilled, and well-rounded renovation professional to join our team in a supportive, friendly work environment where every day is different.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in quality workmanship, and has experience across multiple aspects of residential renovations and construction.

Carpentry & Renovations Specialist
Position Overview:
This is a skilled, hands-on position working directly alongside our Lead Hand and Project Manager to deliver high-quality renovation and accessibility projects.
The ideal candidate will bring strong carpentry skills while also being comfortable supporting a wide variety of renovation work including framing, finishing, drywall, painting, installations, and general construction tasks. You will help execute project plans efficiently, maintain quality standards, and contribute to keeping projects moving smoothly from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of skilled carpentry and renovation tasks
- Work alongside the Lead Hand and Project Manager to complete projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Follow project plans, drawings, and specifications
- Support site organization and maintain workflow throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with framing, finishing carpentry, drywall, painting, installation work, and general renovations
- Troubleshoot site challenges and communicate issues proactively
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Ensure work quality meets company standards and client expectations
- Assist with accessibility installations and renovation-related prep work where required
- Collaborate positively with team members and clients
Key Qualifications & Expectations:
- Strong hands-on construction and renovation experience
- Proficient in carpentry with experience across multiple renovation disciplines
- Comfortable working independently while functioning as part of a small team
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Organized, reliable, and self-motivated
- Able to adapt to changing project requirements and varied work scopes
- Strong problem-solving skills and practical decision-making on site
- Professional communication and a positive attitude
- Physically capable of performing demanding construction work
- Valid driver’s license required
