Hersey Bins is a Kitchener-based bin rental and waste services company serving 25+ communities across Southwestern Ontario, with a 4.8-star Google rating. We’re hiring a Customer Service Representative — the first voice every new caller hears, and the seat that keeps the rest of our sales team running.
The Role
You’ll answer the phones, respond to emails, follow up with quote requests and book services for customers. For larger inquiries (contractors, commercial customers, multi-bin or multi-week jobs), you’ll capture the lead and route it to the Sales Manager. You’ll keep our CRM clean, greet visitors, and be the steady, friendly face of the company.
This is an entry-level seat on the sales team, the foundation that lets the rest of the team go further. Strong performers have a real path forward as the company grows.
What You’ll Bring
- 1–3 years of customer service experience — retail, hospitality, contact centre, or front-desk all translate well
- A genuinely warm, calm phone presence — you don’t get rattled by a busy day
- Strong attention to detail — the address, the bin size, and the delivery date all need to be right the first time
- Comfort with computers, email, and basic office software; willingness to learn a CRM quickly
- Reliability — you show up on time, every day, and people can count on you. Must be available to work Monday - Friday 9:00 - 5:30 and Saturdays 9:00-1:00 (Saturdays are during April - September on a rotating schedule shared with the customer service team - may be done remotely)
