Hours: 7:45 to 5:00pm no evenings or weekends
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our specialty dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Experience with dental software and a strong understanding of dental terminology are highly valued. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within a professional and patient-focused environment. This a very busy office with 8 Specialist 3 Front Desk must be able to work well in a busy environment.
Paying up to 35.00 Hourly depending on years of experience must have level 1 and Harp certified must be licensed and have certification in a Canadian Dental School and graduated.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Provide patient education on oral health care and post-treatment instructions
- Support front desk operations by handling patient check-ins, scheduling appointments, and managing patient inquiries as a dental receptionist
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and treatments in medical terminology
- Ensure the clinic maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming environment at all times
Experience
- Prior experience with 2+ years a must as a Dental Assistant
- Proficiency with dental management software such as Epic and Dentrix is desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care is essential
- Experience working with CAD systems for imaging or modeling is a plus
- Certification in Dental Assisting is required; additional training in orthodontics or pediatric dentistry is beneficial
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential for success in this role
Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour
