We are seeking a motivated and energetic Full-Time Hot Meals Clerk to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving hot meals, maintaining cleanliness, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service area. Duties
- Prepare and serve hot meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
- Assist customers with their selections, answer questions, and provide friendly service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Maintain cleanliness of the food preparation and serving areas, including cleaning equipment and surfaces regularly.
- Manage merchandising tasks such as restocking food items, organizing displays, and ensuring product freshness.
- Operate cash registers accurately, handle transactions efficiently, and process payments securely.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues promptly to ensure operational continuity.
- Support overall store maintenance by keeping the work environment organized and sanitary.
Skills
- Previous experience in retail sales or food service environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
- Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse equipment is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating with diverse customer bases.
