About the role:
The Regional General Manager – Registries (“RGM”) will report directly to New Star’s President and CFO and lead our growing and dynamic Registry teams. The RGM provides hands-on guidance, experience, and oversight to ensure our six registry offices are led and supported.
The position is a full-time, on-site role, based in Edmonton. Travel to Fort McMurray is required for two days every three months. The Registries have 6 managers and employ over 70 full and part time supervisors, clerks and corporate agents.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE RGM:
· Lead, supervise, and empower six registry offices located in Edmonton (4) and Fort McMurray (2);
· Responsible implementing approved strategic plans and identifying opportunities for growth;
· Monitor, analyze and manage location level performance including customer service, sales, gross margin and labour trending and provide guidance to ensure targets are achieved;
· Provide HR support including, recruitment, training and development, retention, compensation;
· Responsible for contract, lease and vendor management;
· Coordinate and manage Driver Examiners Contractors;
· Monitor and comply with workplace Health and Safety standards;
· Serve as the main contact with the Government of Alberta Regulator, Service Alberta;
· Lead business development opportunities;
· Oversight of the registry marketing and social media campaigns;
· Oversight of IT, systems and websites with third party contractors.
In order to succeed in this position, you must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and be able to prioritize. Attitude is very important – our corporate environment is collaborative and team based – the RGM must value the success of the entire group.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· University degree;
· 5+ years in management role, managing a team of at least 20+ staff;
· Experience working in a Registry Office, and prior registry training certifications, is an asset, but not required;
· Intermediate experience with Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, OneDrive, Outlook);
· Driver’s license – Class 5;
· Police Information Check is required.

Pay: $100,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
