Job Overview
As a Body Shop Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the automotive repair process by assessing vehicle damage and providing accurate repair estimates to customers.
Duties
- Assessing vehicle damage and creating an initial repair order estimate
- Maintaining regular contact with the appropriate insurance company to advise on vehicle repair status
- Serving as the primary point of contact for customers during and after the repair by providing information, repair updates, and a high level of service throughout the process
- Preparation and closure of files
- Pre/post scans of vehicles and ADAS as needed
The Appraiser will need the following experience/background to be successful:
· Experience with Mitchell Connect and Audatex estimating software
· Knowledge of Insurance “DRP” practices / guidelines
Skills & Abilities Required:
· Work independently without close supervision
· Highly organized, analytical and motivated; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
