Role Description
We are hiring Electrical Journeymen & Apprentices to work on multiple projects inside our production facility.
Duties:
- Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts
- Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings
- Pull wire through conduits and holes in walls and roofs
- Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels and fuse enclosures
- Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment
- Install data cabling
- Splice, join and connect wire to form circuits
- Test circuits to ensure integrity and safety
- Install and maintain fibre optic systems
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient installation
Required Experience:
- Journeyman or apprentice
- Previous experience as an Electrician or Apprentice or similar role preferred
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Location:
This role is plant based at our 135,000 square feet manufacturing facility 20 minutes North of Calgary in Crossfield, Alberta, strategically located near a High Load Corridor which allows us to transport loads up to 9 meters high to many parts of Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC, and the United States. Our employees live in Calgary, Airdrie and surrounding communities.
