Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC/R Journeyman Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, welding, boiler systems, and appliance repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across commercial and industrial settings. The technician will ensure optimal system performance, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction through expert service and technical proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems.
- Knowledge in various HVAC+R disciplines primarily focusing on hydronic & gas applications.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify root causes efficiently.
- Conduct plumbing repairs and modifications as needed for system functionality.
- Utilize welding skills for fabrication or repair of components when necessary.
- Service boilers and other mechanical equipment with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Assist with appliance repairs and construction-related tasks as required on-site.
- Interpret technical schematics and blueprints to execute complex service procedures accurately.
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all work performed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or mechanic with a valid Journeyman certification.
- Strong background in plumbing, welding, boiler operation, and mechanical systems maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic equipment related to HVAC/R systems.
- Experience working with construction projects or industrial environments is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues efficiently.
- Prior appliance repair experience is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with construction experience enhances overall performance in this role.
- Willing to do rotating on-call shifts for after hour service calls.
- Is both a team player, as well as able to work alone with no supervision.
- First rate customer service skills, outstanding verbal, and written skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Safety conscious.

Pay: $55.00-$60.00 per hour
