Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Painter to join our team, responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to vehicles in a professional dealership environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with automotive painting techniques, possess mechanical knowledge, and be committed to delivering exceptional results. Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply primer, base coats, and clear coats using spray guns and hand tools, ensuring smooth and even finishes
- Inspect painted surfaces for imperfections and perform touch-ups as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Utilize power tools and hand tools for surface preparation and finishing tasks
- Collaborate with the repair team to ensure timely completion of vehicle repairs and painting projects
- Follow dealership standards and manufacturer specifications for paint application and color matching
Requirements
- Prior dealership experience or automotive painting background is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment used in automotive painting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling vehicle parts or equipment safely
- Experience with automotive repair or mechanic work is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching and finish quality
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to chemical handling and spray painting environments
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of quality
