Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The position requires excellent time management skills, food safety awareness, and proficiency with POS systems such as TOAST POS. Previous experience in the food industry, especially in serving and cashiering, is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience
- Serving guests following all Night Owl guidlines and policies
- Manage cash handling and POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards
- Monitor guest consumption to promote responsible drinking practices
- Restock supplies as needed and assist with inventory management
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality standards are met
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours
- Uphold hospitality standards by providing attentive service and addressing guest needs promptly
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in bartending or serving roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and managing tabs
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a personable demeanor
- Experience in the food industry or hospitality sector is a plus
