Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Residential Appraiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing the value of residential properties through comprehensive inspections and data analysis. This role requires a strong understanding of property valuation, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in data collection, accounting principles, and mathematical calculations. The Residential Appraiser plays a vital role in supporting fair property assessments and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential properties to gather relevant data on condition, features, and improvements
- Analyze comparable property sales, market trends, and other relevant data to determine accurate property values
- Prepare detailed appraisal reports that clearly document findings, methodologies, and conclusions
- Ensure all assessments comply with local, state, and federal regulations governing property valuation
- Maintain organized records of inspections, data sources, and appraisal reports for audit purposes
- Collaborate with clients, real estate professionals, and government agencies as needed to clarify appraisal findings
- Utilize specialized software tools for data entry, analysis, and report generation
Qualifications
- Strong skills in data collection and analysis with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of accounting principles relevant to property valuation
- Minimum 2 - 3 years experience as an AIC candidate or CRA, in good standing
- Real Estate License beneficial
- Area of work, Hamilton and Region
- Competitive split, income based on work volume
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assessments efficiently
- Have Insurance
- Valid driver’s license and own transportation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to strict deadlines. We value candidates who are committed to accuracy, professionalism, and continuous learning in the field of residential appraisal.
Pay: $41,981.92-$75,000.00 per year
