ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION
5 + years’ experience in the wealth industry, specifically in an insurance and/or financial planning role with a proven track record of success.
Thorough knowledge of financial planning, products, procedures and regulations.
Ability to collect, analyze and interpret the needs of members and offer appropriate solutions.
Experience with life, disability and living benefits insurance sales to meet both corporate and personal needs.
Proven ability to complete Advanced Insurance Planning resulting in the implementation of Permanent Insurance solutions to augment and meet complex member needs such as Business Succession, Estate Preservation/Enhancement, Legacy, Tax Efficiency, etc.
Adept in providing detailed and accurate information to third parties.
Experience with business plan development.
Education and Training:
High School diploma supplemented with post-secondary education/college diploma or university degree is considered an asset. Individuals without a CFP designation must possess a Post-Secondary Degree from an accredited University or College. Individuals working towards there CFP designation must be certified by March 31 2022 to avoid the Post-Secondary Degree requirement.
Industry Training – ongoing training or certificates within the financial industry are an asset.
Insurance Licensed (Life and A&S) in the Province of Alberta/Saskatchewan
Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation and/or equivalent work experience is required
Financial Planning designation - Certified Financial Planning Designation (CFP) is an asset.
Travel is required throughout an extensive territory. Weekend or shift work, available to travel, etc.
The business may from time to time ask for branch and/or department support for special projects and/or areas experiencing staff shortages. All employees may be asked to volunteer to assist in areas of need during these times. These assignments could result in a change of hours, location, and/or travel.
