Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and upselling opportunities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain organized merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking to attract customer attention
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or placing orders over the phone
- Assist in inventory management by stock replenishment and monitoring stock levels on the sales floor
- Support cashiering duties with retail math calculations, ensuring accurate transactions and receipts
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales while meeting customer needs
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively connect with diverse customers, including bilingual support when applicable
Qualifications
- Prior retail sales experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a customer-first attitude are essential
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math is advantageous
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team environments
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and inventory tasks efficiently
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to engage customers professionally
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse clientele effectively
- Experience working in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cashiering and product presentation
